Don McGrath. A native of Canada, Mr. McGrath had his first experience living in the United States in the late 1980’s, when he was playing professional hockey. He returned to Canada in the early 1990’s, where he completed his college degree in business at the University of Moncton in New Brunswick. His first interest in real estate began while he was in college and purchased his first home. In 1996, he moved back to Texas to again, play professional hockey. After playing for three years, he retired from professional hockey and moved to Dallas. For the past ten years, Mr. McGrath has worked in the IT industry as a manager and consultant. Mr. McGrath currently lives in Allen,Texas with his wife and their four children. After spending almost eleven years in the IT industry, Don decided to pursue other ventures and began to take an interest in the real estate world. He has built several duplexes and purchased some rental properties and commercial development. Don is in the process of obtaining his MBA and also received his Texas real estate license in February, 2010 and Broker in 2014. He regularly attends educational real estate programs and continues to expand his knowledge and experience in the area. Don concentrates on real estate in the greater Dallas/Forth Worth area, with the key area being in Collin County (preferably Allen, Fairview, McKinney, Frisco, Plano, Parker, Lucas, Richardson, and Murphy). Mr. McGrath personally scouts out all new and prospective properties in these cities and is able to effectively review the potential of each property.
