Purpose - Introduce and expand knowledge of Commercial Real Estate Leasing transactions as described in the Commercial Lease Contract (TXR 2101). Identify items contained in the contract and how those items (1) affect rights and responsibilities of the Landlord and Tenant (2) can be used to increase the value of a commercial investment (3) reduce risks associated with leasing and property ownership and (4) influence the value of the property. At the end of the course the student will be able to identify and understand the requirements of leasing commercial real estate and be able to better advise a client on strategies and tactics that maximize property value and minimize risks.
The course is intended for Texas Real Estate agents and brokers who wish to assist their landlord or tenant clients in leasing available space.
