THE CCAR BYLAWS—ARTICLE XI, SECTION 6, A-C – QUALIFICATIONS OF ELECTED OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS:
Officers or Secretary/Treasurer Candidates of the Association:
- Must be an active, REALTOR® Member of the Collin County Area REALTORS® in good standing during the duration of his or her term.
- Must have served as a Voting Director of the Collin County Area REALTORS® a minimum of a one, full term during the two (2) years immediately preceding his or her office.
- Must have served on the Budget and Finance Committee.
- Must have attended a state or national conference/meeting.
- Secretary/Treasurer candidates must complete a Candidate Interview Profile form.
- If qualified, a Secretary/Treasurer candidate will be notified of his/her interview date and time with the Nominating Committee. An interview is required for an applicant’s candidacy to be presented to the Board of Directors.
TERM/SUCCESSION: The elected Officers of the Association shall serve a term of one (1) year that begins January 1 following their election. In accordance with the Bylaws, President-Elect Jennifer Parker will succeed to the position of 2025 President, and Secretary/Treasurer Kyle Paris will succeed to the position of 2025 President-Elect.
Director or Director Candidates of the Association:
- Must have been an active, REALTOR® Member of Collin County Area REALTORS® in good standing for the 24 months immediately preceding his/her term of office.
- Must have served as a Chair or Vice Chair or 2nd Vice Chair of a local REALTOR® Association committee within five (5) years prior to applying OR have served a minimum of one (1) full term as a Voting Director of the Collin County Area REALTORS® within five (5) years prior to applying.
- Director candidates must complete a Candidate Interview Profile form.
- If qualified, a Director candidate will be notified of his/her interview date and time with the Nominating Committee. An interview is required for an applicant’s candidacy to be presented to the Board of Directors.
TERMS. Each elected Director shall serve a term of three (3) years, beginning January 1 following their election. Directors may serve no more than two (2) consecutive terms. Four (4) of the elected REALTOR® members will be elected each year. Directors whose terms expire 12/31/2024 must interview with the Nominating Committee to be proposed for further service.
